The job you are applying for is strictly an Independent Contractor position. With this you are responsible for providing you own transportation, paying for your fuel, and to maintain your vehicle in a safe working order. Once contracted for a route you are required to cover that route on a daily basis. Failure to do so will result in a fee that you are responsible to compensate Quality Courier for the coverage of that route, unless you obtain a backup driver that has been cleared by a member of management from Quality Courier Inc or a Prior 7 day notice. All compensation will be deducted from your check.
You will be provided with a 10-99 at the end of the year for tax purposes. It is your responsibility to file this form. It is also your responsibility to obtain and maintain the insurance coverage stated above. You also will be required if contracted to purchase company shirts at a fee of $25.00 a shirt and will be required to obtain a Nextel radio, by either purchase of your own or rent one from Quality Courier Inc for a fee of $20.00 dollars a week.
If you so desired medical insurance or workers compensation insurance it is your responsibility to obtain this yourself, Quality Courier does not provide any type of medical or workers compensation insurance to it's Independent Contractors
